Matthews Hall is fast approaching its Centenary. The foundation Stone was laid in 1927!

HOW CAN WE IMPROVE MATTHEWS HALL FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS?… CONSULTING WITH THE COMMUNITY –

On November 18 and 21, 2025 Topsham Community Association held events to gather thoughts on how it could improve Matthews Hall for community use in the future – including the main hall, café, studio room and becoming more energy efficient. All ideas, big, small or seemingly ‘off the wall’, will help us to shape a plan of action. Consultation with the community will be an ongoing process.

WE ARE ALSO ASKING FOR IDEAS TO CELEBRATE THE CENTENARY YEAR THROUGHOUT 2027.

**Modular staging offering more flexibility and added space by lowering the current stage to floor level.**

If an extension proves too costly or impractical could the Café could be made more appealing with a interior design ideas?

This is just one suggestion to help modernise and create more space for the Matthews Hall Café.
